My first roll of Fuji Superia through the DIY plastic TLR by Recesky.

All images are very tweaked in PP. I've never scanned + processed colour film before, so this might be normal, or it might not.

I need to remember not to wind on so much next time - I had massive gaps in between frames, only got 16 or so photos to a 36-shot roll. 3/4 of a turn should be enough.

  1. Charlotte, I just came across your blog via TalkPhotography. Excellent blog!

Concerning the Recesky - the little rotating indicator between the two "turning knobs" has an arrow on it, and two arrows 180degrees apart on the side panel. You only need to move the film on sufficient to turn that indicator 180 degrees - i.e. line it up with the next arrow half a turn further round - in order to properly align the film for the next frame. Seems too little, I know - but trust me, it works.

    1. Hi Malcom, thanks for the reply! My little indicator knob doesn't really work - I read up on it and it seems to be a current problem. The film doesn't sit tight enough on the sprocket that turns it, so it's not much use. However, I've since worked out that about 3/4 of a turn of the advance knob is the ideal space for one shot :)
